Amy's Wedding and Dave's birthday!

2 great events in one day! I was honored to be a bridesmaid in Amy Chu's wedding. I got to see one of my best friends get married to the love of her life! It was the most fun wedding ever and a great day for all! Amy even serenaded Tai at the alter! Dave's birthday fell on the same day, and although his day took a backseat to all the festivities, he was ecstatic to eat a delicious chinese wedding dinner complete with shark fin soup and lobster! Amy had a photobooth at her wedding and we all had a blast in it! I wish I had more pictures of the beautiful bride, but alas, I was IN the wedding and couldn't be holding my camera! And just in case you are wondering... No, we bridesmaids are not NAKED as it would appear in our pictures! We happen to be wearing strapless dresses!

Walking in the woods

Today we had absolutely gorgeous weather! Breezy and cool, the kind of weather that makes you happy to live in San Diego! We were feeling adventurous and decided to check out Hosp Grove Park in Carlsbad. We pass by this park all the time but had no idea it was so nice. It overlooks the Buena Vista Lagoon and is filled with walking trails through beautiful Sycamore trees! The park also has a great little play structure, but the kids were much more excited about exploring the woods and going on a little hike.
Someone had fashioned a rope swing with an old
bicycle handle hanging from a great sycamore tree!

The best cleaning product EVER

So, if you really know me, you know I'm obsessed about cleaning products (although my house is still a mess all the time, I blame this on the kids). Those infomercials on tv get me all excited. Yes, I've tried Orange Glo, I love OxiClean, I've even contemplated SHAM WOW. Clean floors in particular, I am crazy about. We don't wear shoes in the house, so I can feel if my floors are dirty underfoot. We recently moved into our current home which was built sometime in the late 40's or early 50's. The floors are saltillo tile with extra wide grout. I cleaned and cleaned these floors hoping to get the grout cleaner to no avail. I used every kind of cleaner, including bleach. I just figured they were "stained" from years and years of different owners and use. I pretty much gave up... until I got my H20 Mop Ultra from Thane. This steamer is a multifunctional thing of beauty.

I usually don't write reviews, but let me tell you folks, this thing is life changing. Here is my review on Amazon.com. And here is the picture I took of the amazing power of steam at work on my grout. I call it the "cross of cleanliness"!
