Happy Birthday to our baby

Dear Friends and Family,

This first year with Isaiah has passed in the blink of an eye! I can’t believe it’s been a year already…a year since that miraculous day in the hospital. He was so tiny and fragile. He was such a little doll at 6lbs 12 oz. It has been an amazing journey to watch him change and become the little boy that he is today. I can’t tell you how blessed we feel to be Isaiah’s parents! To be able to watch him grow and learn, to watch him develop his personality, to foster his talents, and to help shape his future...It is an awesome responsibility, but also a great privilege that has already brought us tremendous joy. And this is only the beginning! May the Lord bless you all as much as He has blessed us! Thank you for being such a special part of our lives.

Love, David & Eileen

9 THINGS GOD WON'T ASK on that judgment day...

1. God won't ask what kind of car you drove; He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

2. God won't ask the square footage of your house, He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3. God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4. God won't ask what your highest salary was; He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5. God won't ask what your job title was; He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of your ability.

6. God won't ask how many friends you had; He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7. God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

8. God won't ask about the color of your skin, He'll ask about the content of your character.

9. God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation; He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.

Our little Sailor

Yesterday was a gorgeous day here in Encinitas- 85 degrees- some winter we're having! I took Isaiah down to Moonlight Beach for some fun in the sand. He loves it so much now (he hated the sand before)! He also had his first taste of it yesterday. He didn't seem to like it (thank God)! We spent about an hour there. Isaiah was so busy the whole entire time...

drawing lines in the sand with sticks...

filling his wagon with sand...

and giving Ducky kisses.

Of course I was busy taking pictures. I took so many pictures (about 300- no exaggeration), and got sand all over! Ever try taking pictures of a very energetic baby? I was literally rolling on the ground to get some shots! But it was all in good fun! I can't believe he'll soon be 1!

Happy 2006!

Goodbye 2005! We would like to thank all of our friends and family for helping make 2005 such a great year! We thank Jesus most of all for all that He blessed us with last year.
Year in Review
Became parents for the first time! Witnessed and felt the miracle of birth and the love of family.
Changed lots of diapers.
Learned to live on 4 hours of sleep.
Moved from the (951) to Encinitas (760) !
Sold half of our worldly possesions at 1/16 of the cost we paid for them (garage sales).
Learned to live on one income and found new and interesting ways to prepare Top Ramen.
Witnessed the power of prayer and God's healing powers for my dad. Realized how precious our loved ones are, and how valuable our time together is.
Reconnected with family from the Philippines.
Made some new friends in the neighborhood.
Walked down to the beach a lot.
Fell in love with our community. Missed our big house and being close to friends and family.
Learned lots of sign language.
Got season passes to kid friendly places like the San Diego Zoo and Seaworld.
Got an 8 lb Oreck vacuum that has changed Eileen's life.
Everyone else went on vacation, while we went to Babies R Us.
Childproofed our home- and had to learn how to open everything with latches.
Went to the "movies" via pay per view.
Changed lots of diapers.
Became a new Auntie and Uncle (and soon to be God parents to our niece and nephew-Isabella and Isaac).
Aquired a new appreciation for Costco.
Rekindled our love/hate relationship with Ikea.
Saw the world through the wonder of our baby's eyes.
Dave cried after every Raider game :(
Changed lots of diapers.
Felt the true joy of Christmas again for the first time in many years.
Took TONS of pictures and hours of video footage.
Found out my best friend Marissa is pregnant!
Rang in the first day of the New Year surrounded by good friends and great family.
Happy New Year everyone- we wish you all good health and great joy for the coming year! Love to you all!
