Tsunami Victims

Our heartfelt prayers are with all the victims affected by the massive Tsunami in Asia. It is almost uncomprehensible to us to imagine what these people are going through. There are no words to describle how incredible their greif must be. The world has reached out to these victims with prayer, volunteering, and financial support. The human spirit is equally as strong as mother nature, and there is always hope. Please join us in praying for the men, women and children who have been affected by this.

We take for granted so many things in our everyday lives. These victims don't have clean water to drink or real food to eat. They don't have a roof over their heads, and many of them have lost their entire families. On top of it all, the death toll continues to rise (currently 122,000) and the imminent threat of Cholera and other disease looms over all them.

If you would like to make a donation to the American Red Cross to aid in the relief effort, a very easy way to do so is to go to www.amazon.com . You can use your credit card, and it only takes a few seconds. It is a hard time of year for all of us, but even the smallest donation can make a huge difference. We are so grateful for the many blessings God has given us.

God Bless you and your family. Have a safe and Happy New Year.

Get your hair did and party at the Taylor Woodrow holiday party!

Yesterday Eileen and I attended the annual Taylor Woodrow Holiday shin dig. This year’s festivities were held at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort. This place is amazing. It was nice to see all the TW employee's decked out and having a great time drinking and dancing. The dinner served included: lobster bisque (soup) "surf and turf" (filet minion and salmon), and a variety of delicious deserts. The filet minion was perfectly cooked and so tender (makes my mouth water just thinking about it). Eileen and I both highly recommend all the food we ate there. We had a great time talking and dancing.

One thing that happens each year at the party is a whole slew of raffled prizes are given out. They range from tools to plasma TV’s. It has been over 5 years now that I have been with TW and have never won a single prize. But Eileen and I had a secret weapon this year (Peanut - our lucky charm!). You'll never guess what happened? Eileen and I both won a prize. Woooo Whoooo! Eileen's number was called first and she won a Nintendo Game Boy Advanced which is worth about $110 bucks! This was awesome to finally win something! But wait it's not over yet! My number was called about 10 minutes later where I won a Burton Cruzer snow board! This thing is awesome looking and worth a whopping $650 dollars! Thank you Taylor Woodrow! Peanut helped us win as we had rubbed our ticket stubs on Eileen’s tummy for good luck earlier that evening. Even one of our co-workers rubbed her ticket on peanut and she won an HP iPod! Thanks Peanut!

Happy Holidays to everyone!
