A big boy

Waiting for the water show in Chandler, Arizona.

Running!

Our little baby is a toddler now, he is such a big boy! He is running and talking like crazy! He repeats everything we say and has quite the vocabulary already! The other day we had sushi for lunch and he kept saying SUSHI! He ate 3 pieces of california roll (hold the wasabi)! Isaiah surprises us everyday when he points to something and names it out loud, or signs it in sign language- he's soaking up language so well, we really have to watch what we say! When we were in Arizona he surprised us by calling Tio Andy UNCLE and Tia Jenny AUNTIE. It just came out of nowhere! He annunciates many words perfectly to our surprise, but we love the words he speaks in baby speak. Some of our favorite words in Isaiah language: HUCKY - hungry, CACKY- cracker, BOON - balloon, WHY- water, DOTTIE- doggie, SHEES - cheese, BUS-DI-DI - for bus, ding, ding! MAMA and DADA have turned into MYIE and DYIE- his attempt at mommy and daddy. Isaiah is chock full of toddler energy these days, getting into anything and everything! When he gets excited he says, "OH BOY!" Isaiah loves giving kisses and hugs to everyone- especially to all his toys!

Protect a National Monument

Maybe you have heard that San Diego is being ordered to tear down a National War Memorial because one of the most significant parts of it is the Cross. The Mount Soledad War Memorial has been on the top of Mount Soledad in San Diego for over 50 years. It is a National Treasure and it should be treated as such. You don't need to be a resident of San Diego to help us keep the cross.

Here is what you can do. Go to
www.aclj.org and sign the petition to keep the cross at San Diego's Mount Soledad National Monument. It's important because the people that want this cross gone are the same people that will seek to remove the cross from all monuments if this decision goes their way.

I hope you will take a few minutes to sign the petition. Remember, anyone can sign this petition, you don't have to be a resident of San Diego.
Please pass this information on if you believe in this cause! Here is a petition to the President to save the cross:
Stop the ACLU!

The ACLU has done it again. In their campaign to rid our country of every vestige of God and Christianity, they have convinced a federal judge to order the removal of a cross from San Diego's Mount Soledad memorial to heroes of the Korean War. We must fight back to save this religious symbol from demolition!
Petition to Save San Diego's Mount Soledad Cross
President George W. Bush
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California
Mayor Jerry Sanders of San Diego
U.S. Senate Leadership San Diego City Council

The federal court's ruling that the cross on San Diego's Mount Soledad must be immediately removed is an abomination and an affront to God-fearing Americans everywhere. We understand the ACLU is behind this unprecedented effort to remove the cross that has been in place, in one form or another, for nearly 100 years. The cross is part of a war memorial honoring the men and women who gave their lives to defend our freedoms as a nation.

We urge you today to take whatever action is necessary to save the Cross. We cannot allow the ACLU to re-write history and strip our nation of the symbols that have long been an important part of our heritage. Please put the full extent of your power to bear to stop this ruling in its tracks and save the Cross at Mount Soledad.

Colorado Album

We're posting a new album with more pictures of our Colorado trip. All in all, it was a wonderful first family vacation! We had a great time fellowshipping with Dave's parents, fishing, relaxing, hiking, eating, soaking and exploring! Colorado's landscape is a visual feast for the eyes! The pictures don't even do it justice! I'd highly recommend Pagosa Springs, Colorado for a great family vacation for kids at any age!
Please click the picture to view the album. The album will also be available under our Map of Traveled Places for future reference.
